- DATACK Loco, maintenance/monitoring tool for traction locomotives
- Smart MHF: condition monitoring system & predictive maintenance software tool for NESA furnaces for solid metal treatment
PEPITe SA company specialized on Data Mining and Artificial Intelligence: Project Manager and Consultant: Development of solutions/expertise using historical data management, data mining tools, statistics and manufacturing simulation to improve and optimize the quality/productivity of industrial factories. The company sells its own Data Mining software called Data Maestro
Among realized projects (non-exhaustive list):
- Several studies realized for several PEPITe’s customers (Arcelor Mittal, Duferco, EDF, Elia, Emerson Group, CMI, Electrabel, Tata Group) using data mining/Artificial intelligence and statistics techniques to improve products quality or productivity plants
- Several studies to find the most profitable (in terms of ROI) configurations for investment projects (plants modernization, revamping projects, bridges automation, …) by using simulation tools
Technical Direction: Project Manager/Engineer: Logistic and production flow optimization, Industrial optimizations, Investment studies and/or productivity improvement
Among realized projects (non exhaustive list):
- Developing a flow simulator for a new plant to build (coupling a pickling Line DKP2 with a 4 stands tandem rolling mill for flat Carbon Steel, Liège): used to find the most profitable investment configurations: Profit : 3 à 4 million Euros permanent gain : project total cost 35 million Euros
- Simulation studies to optimize logistic (trucks) and storage flows on the upstream of a production plant
- Staff optimization and rationalization for a coking plant (Liège, Belgium): study the possibility to operate with one operator’s team instead of 2 teams: Expected profit: 600 K€ permanent gain
- Study and establishment of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for all downstream finishing steel plants of Arcelor-Mittal Liège in order to minimize the subcontracted storage volume of steel: subpart of a big project with 6 millions € of permanent possible costs reduction

• Develop an algorithm on a PLC based on a PID and Fuzzy logic to regulate the temperature of a drug coating machine (1 year)
• Realization of a production scheduling software taken into account the existence of imprecise data and flexible constraints and using fuzzy logic
• Realization of a simulation software for the upstream plants of ArcelorMittal (liquid phase)
