What does an Application Specialist do at SPIE Belgium ICS?

Our teams support and facilitate the digital transformation of our corporate and enterprise customers all over Belgium. SPIE Belgium ICS designs, operates and integrates tailored ICT solutions in the areas of Workspace, IT Security, DataCenter & Cloud, Printing & Document Management and IP Connectivity.

As a Security Engineer for the ICS Division of SPIE Belgium, you deliver our ICT solutions to our customers. You will advise and provide quality technical expertise to our customersthrough our managed services, projects and consultancy.

In which areas will you outperform?

You are part of an IT team that supports and advises users in the use of ICT applications. More specifically, you are responsible for

 

  1. Setting up and supporting an intranet and extranet environment as a digital cooperation platform, both for our internal employees and for cooperation and communication with our customers
  2. Managing and developing guidelines for the use of Office 365 tools: Onedrive, Teams, Sharepoint, PowerBi, PowerApps, ...
  3. Building dashboards via PowerBi
  4. Further development of the digital workplace for our end users
  5. Content and document management tools
  6. The development and support of applications for quality controls
  7. The use of mobile applications to optimise the work of employees
  8. You are the point of contact for the 'process owners' to further optimise and expand these applications. You analyse the needs of the users. You maintain contacts with the software suppliers. You are also involved in registration, maintenance and monitoring the operation of the applications and you are responsible for preventing and/or resolving malfunctions.
  9. If new IT projects are started within your area of responsibility, you take on the project leadership role and work together with the business owners and external partners to carry out these projects within the set scope, time and budget. As project leader you ensure that the project remains on track and you report to the steering committee.
  10. You analyse the needs of the document flow within the company and use 0365 tools (teams, sharepoint, ...) to set up a document management system and collaboration platform. You support the road to digital transformation.
  11. You have a strong interest in the use of the Office 365 environment, the Microsoft Power Platform and the Microsoft Azure Cloud environment. You know how to use these at the right time and in the right way to simplify and automate processes.
  12. You work closely with and report to the ICT manager.

  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with O365 tools, especially with Teams, Sharepoint, ..., is a must
  • Knowledge of Azure, MS Power Bi, MS Power Platform are a plus and you want to deepen your knowledge in this area
  • You are inquisitive and always looking for automation, optimisation and digitalisatio
  • You have experience in leading IT projects and performing business analyses
  • You are bilingual (Dutch/French) and have a good knowledge of English
  • You like to do your work thoroughly and with sufficient detail
  • You like working in a team and have the necessary autonomy to plan and carry out your own tasks
  • Service minded/solution oriented
