For one of our clients located in Brussels and active in the real estate sector, we are currently looking for a Network and System Engineer for a permanent contract with a start asap.

Brief description of the function:

• Maintaining an efficient, reliable and operational IT infrastructure
• Guaranteeing the security and the integrity of the company’s network
• Providing solutions to technical problems and helping the users by offering support on their issues and questions
• Implementing evolutions and updates in order to provide the best possible tools for the users

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Infrastructure maintenance:

• Managing the computer pool (day-to-day monitoring of the infrastructure – backup – logs, patches, etc.)
• Maintaining and improving the performance of the existing infrastructure
• Maintaining and guaranteeing availability of the ERP system
• Maintaining and improving emergency procedures (DRP), backups and monitoring
• Maintaining contractual relations with the suppliers
• Guaranteeing the security and integrity of the systems in place
• Managing the IT infrastructure budget

User support:

• Proposing improvements based on the support tickets
• Drawing up documentation and keeping it up to date on the interventions and projects carried out
• Reacting to incidents and solving problems
• Providing the necessary support for internal and external customers (L3)

Projects:

• Managing projects from the identification of the business need until the complete delivery
• Monitoring the deadlines of the planning
• Following up the scope of the project, the budget and the quality

Technological knowledge:

• Keeping track of all technological evolutions and trends in IT
• Proposing necessary improvements to guarantee a future proof IT infrastructure for the company
• Comparing potential service & hardware suppliers

Successful candidate’s profile:

Profesional experience:

At least 1-year relevant professional experience

Hard skills:

• Good (oral and written) command of French and / or Dutch and English
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
• Knowledge of Windows 10, Exchange Server, Active Directory, Azure AD, Office 365, computer hardware, server hardware, RSA, Antivirus, Veeam, Citrix XenApp, Citrix XenDesktop, Icinga, Nagios, Switches, Firewall, VPN, DirectAccess, Cisco VOIP, SQL Server administration, VMWare, Security, CyberSecurity, Cloud, Powershell, Networking, VLAN
