Description of your role

You will be responsible for designing solutions that support our company in its business intelligence and advanced analytics needs. You start from the requirements of the customer to develop a blueprint of the solution for the architecture. During the project implementation you ensure that the solution also complies with the technical and architectural guidelines.

In addition to the customer-driven projects, you also design the architectural roadmap to address technical evolutions and transformation programs. You acquire the necessary insights into existing technologies, frameworks, tools and specialised suppliers in the market. You also take a leading role in the technological choices that will have an impact on the long-term data management of the company.

In cooperation with your Data Engineering colleagues, you acquire new insights about the specific needs of the business and adapt the architecture to future expectations.

Your profile:

• You have a Master's degree in computer science or an IT-related specialization.
• We are open to hire new colleagues without any working experience. A first experience in data analysis, machine learning or artificial intelligence is an asset.
• During your studies or career, or thanks to specific trainings you have gained knowledge in IT development (Java, Python, SQL...).
• Data Management fascinates you and you follow the latest technological developments closely.
• You enjoy working in a challenging and rapidly evolving environment.
• Knowledge or initial experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, ...) is an asset.
• Your strong communication skills enable you to build and maintain an internal network.
• You are able to plan your tasks autonomously and you enjoy working in a team.
• Your active listening skills enable you to provide optimal support to your internal customers.
• You speak and write fluent English. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
