Our client, active in document management services, provides Information and Document Management services to Enterprise level clients that want to focus on their core activities and outsource the document processing activities. Our clients are mainly situated in the following sectors: Banking & Insurance, Financial Services, Pharmaceuticals & life sciences and Energy & Utilities.

As member of the IT & Application Services team you will design, configure, develop, test, document and maintain business applications that support the services our client delivers. The business applications include Machine Learning platforms to classify content, extract relevant data and sense the motives and sentiment. It also includes diagnosis and fixing of software faults (second and third level application support). Other responsibilities include assisting with the on-going development of coding standards and participating in the quality control activities undertaken by the team.

Main responsibilities include:

• Analyze and document user requirements. This means gathering and assimilate information obtained from client stakeholders;

• Analyze the information to produce the functional description and assure client validation;

• Develop code, setup Machine Learning and extraction models, Analyze and optimize processing flows and configure platforms (hyper converged virtual infrastructure);

• Assure User Acceptance by the client. This includes creating solution documentation, training materials, provide user training, test plans, execute tests and support the users in the go-live process;

• Deploy the applications in the different environments;

• Maintain the operational applications (2nd and 3rd level support);

• Support the sales process, assist with demonstrations requiring configuring customer data or applications and explain the workflow in clear terms that relate to the customer environment;

• Maintain good customer relationships, identifying and promoting any additional opportunities for further applications/volume growth;

• Display a professional image in all interactions with customers to ensure our client is perceived as the company of choice.

Qualifications

• Computer Science degree (Bachelor’s degree minimum)

• Excellent analytical and communication skills and a creative and problem-solving attitude

• Ability to work independently but also as part of a team

• Ability to articulate in an ‘easy to understand manner’ complex technical capabilities to audiences with a variety of different levels of understanding

• Reliable and well organized

• An outstanding customer-oriented and service-minded attitude

• Project-oriented, focused on quality and delivery

• Knowledge of the following software technologies: C#, .NET & Java.

• Additional knowledge of technologies such as javascript, VBScript, C++, SQL and reporting services is also of value.

• Knowledge of IT standards (eg: tcp/ip, windows, Idap, soap, xml, html)

• Knowledge of Microsoft Domain (AD) operating environment

• An excellent command of Dutch or French and the ability to communicate effectively in English, Dutch or French both verbally and in writing

• Ability to develop and maintain a network of contacts both internally and externally

• Conscientious, reliable and well organized
