Data Quality Expert - Product Catalogue

Context:

You work in the domain responsible for building the product offers of the different market segments and sales channels in our IT systems.

As a data quality expert you are responsible for ensuring the product data is consistent throughout our different IT systems.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • You take the leading role in discovering potential discrepancies in the product catalogue area.
  • You come up with action to overcome the identified issues on short and long term.
  • You acquire a good understanding of the business requirements and processes.
  • You look for creative and simple solutions and you provide clear, structured documentation for the users, as well for the development teams and testers.
  • You coordinate the data quality testing activities within the team.
  • Leading a sub team is part of your tasks to ensure a correctly and timely delivery of the identified corrections/improvements.
  • You explain the solution to the development team and guide them through the development cycle.
  • You report on the status of the data quality key performance indicators to the project team.
  • You provide support to the operations team in case of major incidents.

Required competencies:

  • You have a bachelor or master degree (preferably in an IT related domain) or equivalent by experience.
  • You have profound experience in analysis in a complex IT environment.
  • You have hand-on experience in .Net and SQL.
  • You have knowledge of UML, entity relationship modelling, database design schema and agile development (Scrum) principles & methodologies.
  • Knowledge of order, provisioning and billing processes is an asset.
  • You are analytical and assertive.
  • You are optimistic, creative with an open mind.
  • Customer centricity is part of your nature.
  • You value communication and collaboration with others.
  • You have a learning attitude.
  • Good knowledge of English is mandatory (both oral and written). French and/or Dutch is an advantage.
