Our client  is a worldwide  Maritime  leader in container handling with a headquarter and Data Excellence Competency Centre  in Antwerp. The group  participates in port projects across Asia, Europe and both in South and North America  and manages up to 40 million containers per year with 4000 employees worldwide.As BI Application Support Engineer  you will : 

• You optimize and set up processes  of data reporting tools using ETL processes.

• You’re the SPOC for technical support and optimization of the (Microsoft) reporting environments.

• You are responsible for the operational management of various (BI) applications. For some applications you will be the point of contact, both technically and functionally

• You communicate with the users about functionalities and performance

• You identify and resolve potential problems, possibly with the help of other teams or suppliers

• You contribute to a high-performance and stable application landscape

• You are responsible for the day-to-day support

• You take care of the documentation

You report to the Application Team Lead.

Profile:

Education: Bachelor or master in an IT related specialization

Experience: Experience with several of the following Microsoft BI Technologies: SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and PowerBI

Knowledge of T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server

Experience with other database technology such as DB2, Oracle,… is a plus

Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining software applications.

Application Manager on Windows Server

Using SQL Management Studio

Scripting languages ??(VBS, Powershell, …) is a plus

Configuration of IIS, Tomcat or other Java application servers

Languages: Solid knowledge of Dutch & English, both orally and in writing
