Oliver James is looking for a Data engineer AWS for different roles, with strong capabilities.

Your key responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain the foundations, by using exclusively the AWS framework, in collaboration with the other middle ware chapter members and mainly with the software architect.
• Design, implement and maintain solutions, by using exclusively the AWS framework, to support the different use cases for the Application Data Hub, the Data Engineers and Data Scientists.
• Work together with the Software Architect(s) to keep the architecture of the various applications in good shape
• Guarantee the quality of the code that you and the other team members deliver
• Guarantee the integration of the various AWS Data flows with the other components in our landscape
• Continuously seek to improve the usage of the AWS framework related to the data domain. The technology stack currently used is mainly based on : Athena, Glue, Redshift, Sagemaker, AppFlow, Lake Formation, Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow

Skills and competences:

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or similar, or solid experience
• You are familiar with the AWS Cloud and the different managed services offered.
• You are familiar with the infrastructure concepts related to a Cloud environment.
• You are familiar with the modern table format (Hudi, Iceberg, Delta Lake, …) and schema evolution best practices on a data lake.
• You have a DevOps mindset and affinity with software development
• You are customer-oriented, solution-minded and you have a learning mentality
• You are Fluent in Dutch Or French and have a good understanding of English
