Functional Analyst

  • You will be responsible for, among other things, translating the business needs of our client into functional and technical analyzes that you then pass on to the developers. Testing, documentation, preparation and support of deployment can also be part of your duties;
  • You will be responsible for functional analyzes from A to Z within your domain : gathering information, identifying risks, capturing and identifying the needs of the customer, performing the analyzes, etc ...;
  • You will have to "challenge" the business where necessary to map out business needs, making sure the needs and requirements are validated by the business;
  • You will make functional improvement proposals for existing applications and ensure that these applications better meet the needs in the field;
  • You will participate in data modeling and analysis;
  • You will analyze bugs and data quality problems of existent applications and you will make proposals to solve them;
  • You will co-write test scenarios. You will participate in (regression) tests in the context of in-production theorems;
  • You will document processes / information flows and applications;
  • For the projects you work on, you will be the point of contact for the other analysts, developers, solution architects, enterprise architects and the involved business teams;
  • You will contribute to the development of reports and dashboards for key users and management.

  • You have a Master's degree or you are equivalent through relevant experience;
  • You have at least 2 years of relevant experience as a functional or technical analyst in a project environment;
  • You have good knowledge of BPM, UML, sequence diagrams, ...
  • You have good knowledge as a professional user of IT packages, including MS Office, Sparx EA, ...;
  • You have a result and customer-oriented attitude;
  • Having experience with the design of IT applications is a plus;
  • Having experience with the Waterfall and / or Agile project methodology is plus;
  • Having experience with IOT and big data projects is a plus;
  • Having experience in the transport sector is a significant advantage;
  • You have a good active knowledge of Dutch, French and English.
