Technical Analyst

As a Technical Analyst, you are responsible for analysing technical information and aligning it to business strategies and procedures to meet project goals. It's your job to monitor technical system errors and to provide immediate resolutions so that operations flow smoothly and efficiently. Keeping business requirements and clients' specifications in mind, you facilitate the technical team with the best techniques to get the job done.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Analysing and defining the needs and/or problems of the end users
  • Converting business needs into detailed and clear functional design documentation
  • Supporting the programming and/or implementation of the application
  • Functional testing of the application
  • Giving functional advice
  • Training of business end users

You're a critical thinker and a great collaborator. You're fluent in computing and business process analysis, as well as cloud software and systems. You have strong leadership skills and you work well in an Agile environment.

You also have:

  • A Bachelor's or Graduate's degree in computer science, engineering or information systems (or equivalent through experience)
  • Experience with SQL, SQL Server, SAS, Python, Java, and C software and systems
  • Good knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.)
  • Knowledge of basic spreadsheet data analysis (e.g. Excel) and BPMN
  • An interest in SWOT analysis, brainstorming and workshop facilitation
  • Professional proficiency in English
