System and Network Engineer

Anankei is looking for an experienced System and Network Engineer.
You daily tasks are varied and challenging, you'll never have a boring day!


They include:

- Analyse, review, evaluate network requirements specifications and align with the Customer requirements
Defining the necessary networks which are necessary to implement the L2IL-program in the existing computer rooms
Defining the different interfaces with the MPLS network
Defining migration setups between the different subsystems
Finding agreements concerning the fiber optic network solution

- Network & server management (Computer rooms)
Installing and connecting all devices in the CR
Rebuilt IT-configs in the lab to reproduce issues
Modify existing network configs to find communication issues
Improve and optimize current IT solutions
Ip-addressing in the different networks
Creation and/or verifying the ip-address-lists
Creation and/or verifying the switch configurations
Lead in the JWG06 Supporting by the software downloading on the different components (RBC, IIC/OMC, Servers, workstations…)
Configuring the OS on the different systems
Making AB plans for the CR
Organizing the integration and connections towards external components (MPLS, MSC, …)
Organizing test setups (Offline dialin from a test train to the RBC)

- Site Survey coordination in the Computer rooms
Organizing site surveys in the CR in close collaboration with teh onsite manager (onsite engineering team)
Support with site surveys (in computer rooms and on trackside)
Writing site survey reports

- Produce technical network documentation (Manuals, Design of Network Topologies, …)
Internal copper networks / structured cabling
External fiber networks (Products / splicings)
Diagnostic & management network

- Interaction in project management and with the customer
Interface with the project manager and customer on a technical level
Take part in technical project meetings with the customer and partners
Supporting the RFC managers on IT RFC’s, Making proposals for RFC’s

- Support role & helpdesk function

  • Support with Labo testing
  • Support the system site integration, commissioning works, testing and verification
  • Keeping a strong link with the Product Technical Engineer, On site Engineer and the Specific Application Engineer
  • Investigating network issues on live systems
  • Supporting colleagues with many IT issues and processes (encryption of the ETCS keys, vpn connections, VM-setups,..)
  • Supporting Customer Service with maintenance topics as how to replace network components
  • Supporting the onsite team with installation issues (missing components in shelters, cabinets…)
  • Supporting the RAMS teams during failure boards meetings
  • Answering customer IT-questions
  • Give network training to the customer.

Must Have:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering
- Min. 3 to 5 years in System and Network Design
- Fluent in Dutch, English and French
