What does a Linux System Engineer do at SPIE Belgium ICS?

Our teams support and facilitate the digital transformation of our corporate and enterprise customers all over Belgium. SPIE Belgium ICS designs, operates and integrates tailored ICT solutions in the areas of Workspace, IT Security, DataCenter & Cloud, Printing & Document Management and IP Connectivity.

As a Security Engineer for the ICS Division of SPIE Belgium, you deliver our ICT solutions to our customers. You will advise and provide quality technical expertise to our customersthrough our managed services, projects and consultancy.

In which areas will you outperform?

  1. Implementation & maintenance of the access management concept (LDAP; SSH key management)
  2. Implementation & maintenance of the monitoring (Nagios)
  3. Implementation & maintenance of the assets
  4. Implementation & maintenance of the patch management strategy (Puppet)
  5. Assist in the adherence of the Siemens security procedures & policies.
  6. Work on operation issues
  7. Can work in a structured way and precisely

  • Very good knowledge of Linux operating systems (CentOS – Redhat) including scripting (bash)
  • Must speak / understand Dutch and French
  • Experience with working in a production environment
  • Basic knowledge of Javascript and python
  • Basic knowledge of network administration: router – switch – VPN – firewall
