As an experienced front-end Javascript Software Engineer you help to develop web applications for the learning platform. The learning platform is right within the core of the company and has been expanding into an innovative, user-centered solution to help learners realize their learning objectives. You will be part of a great team, building applications and solving technical challenges every single day!

Location: the Belgian office is located in Leuven, but there is a possibility to work remote as long as you are in a time zone which differs maximum 1 hour with the European time zone.

Responsibilities:

• Both improve existing applications as well as develop new applications from scratch to develop the best learning platform
• Work with the latest front technologies.
• Take ownership over several components in the architecture.
• Communicate and interact with team members even if they are remote.
• You are able to mentor and guide other engineers
• You are able to contribute towards the technical architecture of the e-learning platform (there are no technical architects)
• You can drive developmeny standards

Technical requirements

• Over 4 years’ experience of professional web development, at least 2 years focusing on the frontend
• Experience with Javascript and modern front-end technologies like ReactJS, VueJS or NodeJS. If you have more than 2 years front-end development experience with VueJS, you are of extra interest to our client.
• You can write clean, maintainable, performant, and testable code.

It would be a bonus if you have

• Experience with Docker, Amazon Web Services, and CircleCI
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or Typescript
• Experience with back-end development or would like to learn
• Experience with Agile
