Junior Anaplan Model Builder

If you’re intrigued by data and interested in business processes, then this might be a really cool job opportunity for you. Umicore is looking for a data whiz to dig their heels into the Anaplan model builder tool. It’s an entry-level job with plenty of opportunities for growth. You’ll have full ownership of Anaplan and the data modelling possibilities and act as gatekeeper of governance.

As Anaplan Model Builder at Umicore, you will be responsible for:

  • Capturing, translating and converting business requirements into clear data models and data sets
  • Designing, building, managing and maintaining new and existing data models, assuring consistency and integration across the different models
  • Modifying existing models into new and improved models
  • Helping to bring the BU’s Business Process and IT within the Energy & Surface Technologies Department to the next level of expertise for data modelling
  • Training different Anaplan users
  • Acting as key player in the Anaplan project team

To be clear, this role has nothing to do with data analysis. Your focus is more on the business side. By creating accurate, flexible and in time data models, you will provide the business with the information required to guide them towards their vision and future challenges.

Profile:

  • You hold a Master’s in information technology, applied computer sciences or a business-related field
  • You have sincere interest in data, data modelling and data interactions
  • You have knowledge of business processes
  • You’re a fast learner
  • You have strong coordination and communication skills
  • You’re fluent in English
  • You’re analytical, organised, structured and detail-oriented, but also flexible and able to work in a dynamic environment
  • You can build trust with different teams and maintain confidentiality
  • You’re an independent, self-propelling worker

If you could demonstrate experience with Anaplan and/or expert Excel skills, that would be great (but it’s not required to have a lot of technical knowledge for this role – you can learn on the job)
