Infrastructure Engineer

Engineering consists of multiple teams, who all consist out of several, individually contributing, software engineers.

To support this, the CI/CD pipeline is highly automated (CircleCI). Developers can ship what they build and so increasing deployment speed and ownership. The Infrastructure team supports the productivity of the developers, by monitoring the availability, scalability and security of this toolchain, enhancing it by adding deploying, updating, monitoring and self-healing tools to it.

As a part of the Infrastructure team you will be managing the shared resources which support our service architecture. Objective is to provide self-serve systems for deployment and infrastructure provisioning so that this team supports other teams rather than being a central bottleneck in the company. You are needed to plan future improvements besides performing your day to day tasks.

The infrastructure team is also responsible for the backend services (Python, R, SQL, ..) running on the learning platform. This will probably grow into more complex, multi-tenant, deployment models which will be crucial for the growth of our client.

Location: the Belgian office is located in Leuven, but there is a possibility to work remote as long as you are in a time zone which differs maximum 1 hour with the European time zone.
