Our ICT Governance & ICT Security in our headquarters in Brussels is looking for a (m/f/x) Solution Infrastructure Architect (Ref. 21054a)

Fluxys ICT is responsible for designing, developing and managing all of the company’s ICT systems, covering the full scope of business, application, infrastructure and technical aspects. Our in-house developments are running in multiple data centres and in the cloud and are accessible through multiple devices. We also develop our own suite of Gas Flow Management products that we commercialise and support. Our in-house developments are combined with off-the-shelf products, cloud applications and Office 365 services.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A Master or Engineering degree in information technology or Master degree in another field with enough relevant experience
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience with enterprise-scale ICT systems as architect for ICT infrastructure systems, or a similar function;
• An affinity and or knowledge of;

• server technology (Linux and Windows servers), networks and firewalls, SAN and NAS storage, virtualisation (VMWare), cloud solutions (Azure), container technology (Kubernetes), software-defined infrastructure, automation (Ansible);
• cybersecurity (Enterprise, cloud and industrial environments)
• lifecycle management and deployment of applications in an enterprise-scale ICT environment

• Strong leadership skills to see a project through to completion
• Excellent communication and the ability to adapt your message to your audience (business, subsidiaries, development teams, management, etc.)
• To bring the different parties involved to the best possible solution through your excellent negotiation skills
• An analytical mindset and a methodical approach
• A very good knowledge of English with a good knowledge of Dutch and/or French with the willingness to learn the other language.

Your responsibilities

As a member of the ICT Infrastructure Architect team you will collaborate with the business, the application architects, with the development teams, and with the ICT Operations teams, to translate business functional requirements into technical designs in line with the company architecture and security guidelines. You will also participate to the long term coherent infrastructure architecture design of the company.

• Design the technical architecture for business applications and supporting ICT systems integrated in the existing infrastructure (Hosting, DB, Network, VM);
• Collaborate with the other ICT architects, analysts, developers and application owners to align the application architecture with the Fluxys ICT infrastructure;
• Collaborate with the ICT Operations teams (Systems, Networks, DBs) to assess the feasibility of the technical architecture;
• Collaborate with Security Office to ensure the cybersecurity of the Fluxys ICT environment;
• Overview the global enterprise architecture consistency within the group (Central ICT, Affiliates, Industrial Sites)
• Provide advice and expertise to, and elaborate proposals and designs for the central and remote sites on the matter of industrial ICT and cybersecurity;
• Manage the technical standards and the configuration repository;
• Follow up technology evolutions and provide the required knowledge for ICT Operations to manage the current infrastructure, prepare for future developments and carry out technical projects;
• Recommend alternative technologies or improvements to enhance information systems to support organizational goals. 
• Contribute to the correct and efficient functioning of the ICT infrastructure respecting SLA agreements and aligned to ICT management processes.
