You listen to the needs of your colleagues from the business side, look at what is technically possible and work out the optimal solution. We have already travelled quite far down the path of digitisation and work with modern, interesting technologies. In other words, you won’t find an office full of stone-age computers.

You may already be familiar with KBC Mobile and KBC Touch. These apps are already used by our clients. But our developers also make innovative applications for our head office, as well as our network of other offices and regional advice centres. You’ll always have something fascinating on your plate! Especially if you know that you can also contribute to innovative infrastructure projects. In this way you help to ensure that KBC employees have an optimal IT environment.

What are your tasks?

• You perform functional analyses of information systems to ensure they satisfy the needs of the business.
• You verify the results of your analyses with the relevant business partner—your internal client—then discuss the technical side with your IT colleagues.
• You set up functional test cases on the basis of your analyses. You run them yourself, with your fingers crossed, always thinking about the importance of a good result.
• You are agile in the way you work. You develop, evaluate and make appropriate adjustments, always in consultation with the business partner.
• You challenge the business partner when it appears that limitations in time, scope or budget might stop you from adding certain functionalities.

Are these your strengths?

• You have a master’s degree in IT, but we are happier to see your love of IT. You’re always looking to learn more, with a curiosity that is never satisfied. Your own insights into the world of IT are constantly developing, keeping up to date with technological evolutions in the banking and insurance sector.
• You have the interest and the analytical skills to quickly make our Business and IT processes your own.
• You’re thrilled to be working in an environment where you’re given responsibility and room to take initiative.
• You and your colleagues enjoy working as a team and achieving results.
• You communicate effectively and efficiently. You are clear, structured and convincing in the way you present your ideas.
• You speak and write fluently in Dutch and English. This is particularly important as you’ll be working with business partners within KBC and your IT colleagues outside Belgium.
