Functional Analyst @ Baloise

A Functional Analyst connects the business with IT. In this role, you will be working on projects for the Non-Life Business and Marine & Transport business units. You won’t be doing it alone: you’ll be part of an Agile team of twelve young and dynamic colleagues.

Our goal, and your challenge, is to simplify our complex IT environment. After proving yourself, you can grow into a Product Owner/Project Leader role in a couple of years.

For this role, your responsibilities include:

  • Gathering requirements, conducting the analysis and translating the outcomes to features for the best IT solutions
  • Working with the business as well as the developers who will deliver the requested requirements
  • Helping to professionalise operations and to shape the business architecture
  • Giving demos to keep your business up-to-date

As a Functional Analyst, it’s paramount that you enjoy connecting with people. You have strong communicative skills and know how to convey information in clear and understandable language. You have strong analytical skills, work accurately and think in terms of solutions, not problems. You have a hands-on mentality and dare to question things.

Preferebly, you should have /know 

  • A professional Bachelor, preferably in ICT, or equal through experience
  • You understand and actively participate in the Agile way of working
  • Analytical, result-driven and solution-oriented
  • You have an affinity with IT and can read code
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English
  • Technical skills: Angular / Oracle / .NET / TFS tool
