As a System Engineer, you manage and monitor applications, network and storage. You ensure that hardware and software are working to produce the highest level user experience. You perform technical work installing, operating and providing support for local and corporate networks, personal computers, storage and the PBX.

AKA: System Engineer

Description

As System Engineer, you will report to the IT Manager. You will be in charge of:

• You participate in the daily operations of IT infrastructure
• You support, design, maintain and evaluate computer networking along with telecommunication systems
• You install, configure and maintain physical servers and virtual computer servers
• You develop and maintain network security procedures: you add, remove, and change authorities for network users
• You monitor storage capacity at group level and you implement back-up procedures
• You resolve problems reported by end users for local and corporate network, personal computers and networking equipment (switches, routers, etc.) and you provides answers to complex questions related to these systems
• You monitor and measure the performance of the IT infrastructure and report problems timely and adequately
• You plan and oversee system replacements and upgrades
• You maintain documentation of the ICT infrastructure

• At least 5 years of experience in ICT Systems administration
• You have a proven expertise in the operations and support of personal computers and local area networks
• You master standard networking protocols, LAN and WAN products and protocols
• You are proficient in managing both Linux as well as Windows operating systems
• You are able to communicate in English language both verbally and in writing (B2 Level minimum)
