Job

In this role you are the link between the management of The Reference and a multidisciplinary team that is responsible for building various mobile and web applications.

You are part of a team of operation leads and meet with them several times a week.

You manage a team in Belgium and a team in a delivery center (Minsk, Poznan and/or Izmir), you take responsibility in different domains:

  • Operational organization of the team, in close cooperation with the other teams within The Reference.
    • You are responsible for the overall planning of the team. You are the key figure who keeps an overview of all ongoing projects within the teams.
  • HR follow-up.
    • Together with HR and the other operation leads, you take care of recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management within the team.
    • You actively contribute to the DNA and culture of the organisation by translating the objectives of The Reference into concrete expectations for the employees.
    • You bring out the best in the team and therefore you spend the necessary time on coaching and guidance of your team members.
  • Project monitoring in terms of high-level planning and general functioning.
    • You focus on optimal efficiency and take into account the business of our customers.
    • You have good arguments for changes in the team's staffing and you support the project managers in their planning. You keep track of new projects that are coming up.
    • You report to and work closely with the managing director.

Profile

  • You combine a higher education with at least three years of experience in coordinating complex digital projects.
  • You are well organised and result oriented. You keep a cool head even with complex projects.
  • You are a born people manager; you have good listening and coaching skills.
  • You have a strong focus on cooperation. You constantly ensure good communication between all stakeholders.
  • You are authentic and reliable. You understand the art of finding a balance between the interests of the company, those of your team and those of the customer.
  • You are service-oriented and have a strongly developed sense of responsibility.
  • You are analytical and look at a problem from different angles. You search for additional information and prepare decisions based on good arguments.
  • You are self-critical and you like to learn and improve continuously.
  • Knowledge of Project Management methodology is a plus.
  • You are Dutch-speaking and can express yourself fluently in English, French is a plus.
