For our client major Belgian Payroll provider we are looking for a BI Engineer.
Your Role:
As a BI Engineer your role will be to build and maintain a data integration solution for our client's internal platform.
Your responsibility will be to :
- Collect requirements in partnership with stakeholders and other team members
- Taking part in Production support cycle
- Doing functional and technical analysis
- Choice of the appropriate technical solution, if required through a short proof of concept and validation cycle with stakeholders
- Implementing the solution together with the team or alone, depending on the assignment
- Preparation and execution of functional tests
- Close cooperation with end users for fast feedback cycles
- Writing end user documentation when required
Your Profile:
- A university degree or equivalent by experience
- At least 3 years of experience in the design and development of BI solutions
- Knowledge of relational DB's and strong expertise in SQL
- Strong expertise in the development of dimensional models and ETL through the use of SSIS.
- Develop performant ETL processes
- Basic knowledge .NET (C#) development for custom functions in SSIS.
- Knowledge of SSRS, SSAS (MDX and DAX).
- Guide stakeholders to translate ideas into innovative solutions
- Experience in developing self-service BI solutions
- Strong communication skills
- Being able to make data insightful & presentable (visual representations, semantic model,...)
- A team player with a high degree of independence
- Working in an Agile environment and being highly flexible (being able to work autonomously and in a team; working on large and small assignments; multiple technologies and variety of tasks)
- Be comfortable working in a cross-country team
- Knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI, Azure & Data Analytics would be an asset
