We have a current opportunity for a AWS Technical expert on a contract basis for one of our Brussels based utility clients. 

A number of use cases/applications are either moving to the cloud e.g., lift and shift or implemented from scratch in public clouds with cloud native architectures. In order to ensure a successful deployment of these workloads in the cloud, the candidate will be involved in the following activities:

• Contribute to the high level design aka HLD (cross team effort)
• Translate HLD in low level design aka LLD
• Implement LLD and/or supervise implementation done by 3rd party

The candidate will be part of a team of datacentre and cloud technical experts who play a key part in the move to the cloud (transformation project). Hence problem solving attitude, constructive behaviour and strong team spirit are required to fit into the IT organization.

Profile:

• Valid AWS certification in the following domains (at least associate level): Solution Architect or SysOps Engineer. (MUST)
• Proven experience in automation/orchestration of public cloud services (compute, storage and networking) either via Terraform or CloudFormation. Public code portfolio in this domain is a plus. (MUST)
• Prior involvement in migrating or deploying workloads in public clouds, preferably in AWS and at least during 2 to 3 years. (MUST)
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools e.g., Gitlab, Github,… and DevOps methodology
• Hands on experience with Kubernetes and public cloud container PaaS: ECS, EKS, AKS,… for at least one year
• Azure solution architect associate certification (Plus)
• Hands on knowledge of data centre protocols and Cisco equipment e.g.. Cisco switches (Plus)
• Hands on knowledge of hypervisor e.g., VMware  or OpenStack (Plus)
• Linux/RedHat certification (Plus)
